How to Prepare for Your First Cardiology Visit in Venice

Patient guide — Published April 2, 2026 · 5 min read

Bring your medications, prior test results, and a list of symptoms—here is how we make your first visit at The Heart Institute of Venice efficient and thorough.

What to bring

Please bring a complete list of prescription and over-the-counter medications, including doses. If you have copies of recent labs, stress tests, echocardiograms, or records from other cardiologists, bring those as well. Your insurance card and photo ID help our front desk verify coverage quickly.

What to expect

Your provider will review your history, perform a focused cardiovascular exam, and discuss whether additional testing—such as EKG, echocardiography, or ambulatory monitoring—is appropriate. We set aside time for questions so you leave with a clear plan.

Serving Venice and beyond

The Heart Institute of Venice supports patients from Sarasota, Bradenton, Ellenton, and surrounding communities. Same-week appointments are often available for new patients when medically appropriate.
