When Holter Monitoring Helps—and What Your Results Can Tell Us

Diagnostics — Published March 18, 2026 · 6 min read

Holter monitors capture every heartbeat while you work, sleep, and exercise—ideal when symptoms come and go.

Why rhythm matters

Palpitations, dizziness, or brief chest discomfort may not appear during a short in-office EKG. A Holter records continuously for 24 to 48 hours (or longer with other monitors) so we can correlate symptoms with the electrical activity of your heart.

After the monitor is returned

Our team downloads the tracing, reviews episodes of fast or slow rhythm, and summarizes findings for your cardiologist. Many patients receive reassurance; others may need medication adjustment, further imaging, or referral for specialized rhythm care.

Accredited testing
