About The Heart Institute of Venice
The Heart Institute of Venice serves Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte Counties through locations in Venice, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Ellenton. Medical Director Barry Weckesser, MD, works closely with the team to deliver specialized imaging, testing, and treatment from accredited facilities.
Diagnostic and treatment monitoring includes nuclear stress testing, echocardiography, EKG, pulse oximetry, echo-Doppler, telemetry, and Holter monitoring. Screening services include stroke, peripheral vascular disease, hypertension, and aortic aneurysm assessments.
The practice offers enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP) therapy, Coumadin clinic support, pacemaker/ICD follow-up clinics, and chronic care management for long-term heart health.
